Elections – How Rahul Gandhi lost India 2019

In an alliance, what do you expect a party with 2/3rd of the seats to do? Lead.

Wrong.

In Karnataka 2018, Congress got 78 seats and JD(S) got 37 seats. Yet, there shall not be any Congress CM, but only Deputy CM.

Why? Because, more than winning himself, Rahul Gandhi wants to defeat Narendra Modi. It is fine with Rahul that he loses, just that he wants to ensure that Modi does not win – a defeatist attitude, to say the least.

In doing so, Rahul Gandhi has sown the seeds of his defeat in India 2019. It anyways would have been a difficult election for him but with his choices and actions in Gujarat 2017 and Karnataka 2018, he has ensured that Congress has no chance whatsoever in India 2019.

Rahul Gandhi is a bad negotiator

If Rahul could have bargained hard with the father-son Gowda, he could have ended up with the CM from his party. If not the CM for 5 years, at least the CM for 2.5 years. I do not suppose he bargained at all, rather told that you take the CM post, but please keep the BJP out.

Even in UP 2017, with the SP alliance, he gave equal prominence to Akhilesh Yadav and removed Sheila Dikshit from the poll scene.

It is becoming increasingly clear that Rahul does not have in him to demand the major chunk of the pie. Even if he does demand, he does not have the patience to keep up at the negotiating table and will give in eventually. The wily Mamata, Mayawati, the Yadav Brigade of UP and Bihar and Sitaram Yechury are going to take him for a ride in national elections 2019.

And if Rahul does not agree for the pre-poll alliance, the post-poll scenario for him will be even worse aka Karnataka 2018.

Rahul Gandhi’s temple run is not yielding any results

Not just his temple runs, whatever Rahul has done has not yielded any results in Gujarat or Karnataka.

Rahul Gandhi does not come up with any plans or steps, leave aside a vision, for the future or the betterment. Just more of the same as BJP. No innovativeness, no freshness, no of nothing and he and his party just do not get it.

Rahul has collected enough credits from his temple visits and there is no way for him to encash it. And he does seem to know anything apart from this.

To top it all, after each lost election, Rahul has a penchant to go for vacations. He seems to think there is no need for his intervention apart from the election time. As a result, Congress is rudderless all the time.

Rahul Gandhi does not have any mass leaders

To ensure that there is no competition to the Gandhi clan at the top of the party, Sonia Gandhi never allowed any mass leader to prosper (the last one was YSR in Andhra, who single-handedly won 39 MPs).

In any State elections, BJP will send its battalion of CMs and Cabinet Ministers, apart from Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. Whom will Congress depute? Nobody will come to listen to Chidambaram, Kapil Sibal, Shashi Tharoor, Jairam Ramesh, Prithviraj Chavan etc and Manmohan Singh will do a single press conference.

To put things in perspective, there are lot many CM aspirants in Congress in any of the States. Just that they cannot get any masses in either the rallies or the social media. In MP, Congress has 4 CM candidates – Digvijaya Singh, Kamal Nath, Jyotiraditya Scindia and Suresh Pachouri; if not more. What has to be done with them?

Rahul has got a number of young leaders with him, all scions of the political families, like him. And all removed from the reality, like him.

Nobody can attack Narendra Modi personally and get away with the Indian electorate

Narendra Modi has struck a chord with the people, and no matter what he does and he does not (which is a lot), people like him nonetheless. If Narendra Modi has to be defeated, it has to be through his Governance, his henchmen, Amit Shah, BJP; but not through Narendra Modi.

Rahul Gandhi and his acolytes with their hatred for the Chai-wala are not able to see this golden rule. They continue to attack Narendra Modi and he continues to become even stronger.

Last but not the least, Rahul Gandhi is broke.

Ok, Rahul cannot get broke at a personal level, no chance. But, his party is broke. Captain Amarinder Singh is not going to contribute anything to the party coffers and what will he get from Puducherry?

Congress is not going to have anything to invest in India 2019 and this is going to hit Rahul dearly.

In short, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah cannot make #CongressMuktBharat – A reality (why would they want to, when your opponent is your biggest strength).

It is actually Rahul Gandhi himself who is going to make #CongressMuktBharat – A reality.

Long live Rahul Gandhi.
